Pale green lichen puffs
drift along branches, catch sunshine.
Quiet midday hike.

Words spill out on page,
Cascading deluge of thoughts.
Love when writing flows.

Books mass on nightstand.
A trip to the library:
Rife with potential.

Coworking downtown:
Three writers, three laptops, three
cups. Afternoon fades.

Churning thoughts spill on
pillow. You curve against me.
Waist warmed, sleep returns.

Stiff couch, dim lamps. Your
head finds my shoulder. A pat;
A peck. Home, at last.

Playing house. Weekend
saturated with you. Long
for this to be real.
